A look at the Vespa SXL 150
Going by the spy shots, the upcoming SXL 150 will look similar to the outgoing model. It will feature a matte-finished body color, rectangular headlamp unit, apron-mounted front indicators, and blacked-out alloy wheels.
The scooter will come with a flat-type seat and a new chrome-finished exhaust system.
Furthermore, it will also offer an impressive under-seat storage- similar to the outgoing variant.
Power and performance
The upcoming SXL 150 will reportedly come with the same 150cc engine. However, this unit will be updated as per the BS6 norms and will come with fuel-injection technology to offer improved fuel efficiency and cleaner combustion.
In the present state of tune, the aforementioned mill churns out 10.03bhp of power and 10.9Nm of peak torque.
What about safety and suspension setup?
On the safety front, the upcoming Vespa SXL 150 is likely to come equipped with disc brake on the front wheel, drum brake on the rear wheel, along with single-channel ABS for improved braking efficiency.
To handle suspension duties, the scooter will house single side arm absorber up front and a dual-effect hydraulic shock suspension on the rear.
Finally, how much will it cost?
According to report, the BS6 Vespa SXL 150 will come at a premium of Rs. 15,000-20,000 over the outgoing model and is likely to cost somewhere around Rs. 1.25 lakh in the country.
