Going by the spy shots, the 2020 Thar will retain the iconic retro design of the outgoing model and will come with a boxy look, square-ish windows as well as wheel arches, and bulbous headlamps. But, the new model will be comparatively bigger in size and will get newly-designed alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin
The new Mahindra Thar will get a major update in terms of interiors. It will come with a six-seater cabin featuring a blacked-out dashboard, redesigned AC vents, and a new multifunctional steering wheel.

At present, the SUV is offered with a 2.5-liter diesel engine that makes 105bhp of power and 247Nm of peak torque.

There is no official word on the pricing of the 2020 Mahindra Thar as of now. But looking at the updates, it is likely to carry a significant premium over the outgoing model that starts at Rs. 9.59 lakh.
