The Bobber-styled cruiser, which went official last year, will now be delivered at a later stage, considering the outbreak has impacted the company's supply chain.
Notably, as of today, the coronavirus pandemic has caused more than 21,000 deaths worldwide.
The deliveries were slated to start from April 2
To recall, the bookings for the Jawa Perak started in January and the deliveries were slated to commence from April 2. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the company has delayed the deliveries for an indefinite period.
As for the pocket-pinch, the motorcycle is priced at Rs. 1.94 lakh in the country.
Meanwhile, here's what Jawa Perak offers
The Perak sits on a double-cradle frame and sports a bobber-styled look with low-set handlebars, matte-finished body color, and a single type seat with a mounted taillight.
The retro appearance of the motorcycle is further accentuated by rounded headlamp and indicators, blacked-out engine, and spoked wheels.
Apart from that, it houses a digital-analog instrument cluster and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the Jawa Perak is fueled by a BS6-compliant 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing 30PS of maximum power and 31Nm of peak torque. To handle transmission duties, the motorcycle gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.
And, what about safety and suspension setup?
In terms of safety, the Jawa Perak houses disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS as standard to avoid skidding while braking.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front and 7-step adjustable mono-shock unit on the rear.
