Bengaluru Police arrests 4 Pakistani nationals with fake Aadhaar cards

Bengaluru News this Thursday

On 24th May, conducting a raid based on a tip-off, the City Crime Branch of Bengaluru Police arrested 4 Pakistani nationals.

They were purportedly staying in Bengaluru for 2 months and had fake Aadhaar cards.

Police Commissioner Praveen Sood in his statement said the police remains unaware as to why the 4 of them were in India.

Bengaluru Police are set to start visiting educational institutions to spread awareness among students about drug abuse, its legal consequences and implications on one's health.

The Police claimed that they have initiated an operation wherein they want all educational institutions to become drug-free zones.

The Central Crime Branch Police recently raided shops near educational institutions and shut down 145 shops selling tobacco products.

Water Pollution114 factories near Bellandur Lake directed to shut down

On 24th May, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) directed 114 industries near Bellandur Lake to shut down.

These industrial units were accused of releasing untreated effluents into the lake.

The closure directions issued by the Board are under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.

The Board also ordered BESCOM to cut off the electrical supply for these industries.

According to figures provided by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Karnataka has 8,750 seats.

It is followed by Maharashtra with 7,120 seats and Tamil Nadu with 6,660 seats.

Furthermore, the Director of Medical Education Dr. S Sacchidanand said the upcoming academic year will have 350 additional seats.

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) collaborated with the American Tower Corporation (ATC) to provide the necessary infrastructure for broadcasting mobile signals underground.

However, other network providers are yet to sign an agreement with ATC, only after which cell-phone services would commence underground.
