Bengaluru: 3 foreigners arrested with cocaine worth Rs. 7 lakh

Central Crime Branch investigators caught three foreigners -a Nigerian, a Briton and a Mozambique- red handed and recovered six grams of cocaine worth Rs. 7.5 lakh from them at NGEF Layout, Byappanahalli, Bengaluru.

Seven cellphones, one iPhone, two passports were also recovered.

The cops were deployed in plain clothes and were aware about drug trade at NGEF layout.

After BJP criticized the government's decision to design a state flag and called it a 'politically driven decision', Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said that the decision has nothing to do with 2018 Assembly polls.

"Elections are due in April-May, not now or tomorrow or next month. If BJP wants to oppose it, let them openly state Karnataka should not have a flag," he said.

It seems AIADMK leader VK Sasikala continues to get special treatment in the Bengaluru Central Jail even after DIG Roopa blew the whistle on her.

In the latest CCTV footage, Sasikala is seen not wearing jail uniform and carrying a shopping bag inside the prison.

A source from jail said that a 150 feet corridor with five prison cells has been allotted for Sasikala.

Genomic profiling and bioinformatics company Strand Life Sciences revealed through its findings that prevalence of BRCA (Breast Cancer) gene mutations is three times higher in Indian population than in western countries.

"We recommend that relatives of a patient be tested in order to be aware of their cancer risk predisposition, thus allowing them to take necessary measures." said Dr Sudhir Borgonha, Strand Life Sciences.
