Karnataka's two-wheeler Honda plant is largest in the world

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter established its fourth assembly-line in its Narasapura factory in Kolar district, Karnataka, making India the biggest production hub for Honda's two-wheeler operations.

The new assembly line will boost its capacity to 24 lakh units/year, higher than other three facilities in Manesar, Tapukara and Vithalpur.

India is also the largest contributor to Honda's two-wheeler business.

Stressed over domestic and financial matters, Army officer Harish Kumar, hailing from Hennur, killed his two daughters before hanging himself to death.

Posted in Assam, Kumar made his daughters drink rose water mixed with poison. Kumar holds no one responsible in his suicide note.

The incident came to light when his wife found the bedroom locked from inside and on peeping, found Kumar hanging.

In order to assess women safety, team from Karnataka State Commission for Women, lawyers and members of Cubbon Park Walkers' Association took a Metro ride and talked to women passengers.

They pressed for a separate coach for women in Metro like in Delhi and will write to BMRC about the same.

BMRC will have a separate ladies coach after addition of three coaches.
