Maruti Suzuki recalls over 800 Ciaz sedans: Details here
Maruti Suzuki has announced a service campaign to replace the speedometer and owner's manual for the Zeta and Alpha trims of the 2018 Ciaz diesel.
However, despite the "proactively undertaken Service Campaign", the carmaker said that there was no safety concern.
Owners of the 800+ affected vehicles will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki, and the parts will be replaced free of cost.

How to check if your Ciaz is affected
Maruti Suzuki has recalled a total of 880 Ciaz diesel sedans, manufactured between August 1 and September 21 this year, and the voluntary service campaign was launched on October 29.
To check whether your Ciaz has been affected, head to this website, and enter the chassis number (MA3, followed by a 14-digit alpha-numeric code) of your Ciaz.
In 2014, Maruti Suzuki had recalled 3,796 Ciaz sedans
Notably, this isn't the first time that Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedans have been called in for a service campaign. In 2014, Maruti Suzuki recalled 3,796 Ciaz sedans with manual transmission, manufactured till November 7, to inspect a suspected issue with the clutch.

2018 saw the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz get a facelift
The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was launched on August 20 this year, and comes with a novel look, including new headlamps, a new grille, etc.
Most of the cosmetic updates to the 2018 Ciaz are on the exterior, and the interior remains largely similar to older models.
The new Ciaz supports smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the recently-launched Suzuki Connect telematics system.
The Ciaz comes in 1.3-liter diesel, and 1.5-liter petrol variants
The 2018 Ciaz was launched in two variants - the tried-and-tested 1.3-liter diesel engine variant, and a new 1.5-liter petrol engine variant.
The diesel variant offers 89bhp, 200Nm of peak torque, and has a fuel efficiency of 28.09kmpl.
Meanwhile, the petrol engine offers 103bhp, 138Nm of peak torque, and a fuel efficiency of 20.28-21.56kmpl.
