Airtel Digital TV launches regional top-ups: Here's everything to know

Following TRAI's DTH rules, Airtel launches Regional top-ups

The new DTH regulations introduced by TRAI have brought with them a fair share of confusion and complexity.

However, in a bid to simplify channel selection, Airtel has now introduced several regional top-ups.

These channel packs come in seven different languages and allow users the ease of adding their preferred regional channels to the base pack.

Here's everything to know.

Mini & Full packs

The new regional top-ups start at just Rs. 7

Airtel Digital TV's regional packs come in seven languages: Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

All the packs, except for Gujarati, are divided into full-priced regional plans and slightly cheaper mini plans.

As for pricing, these top-ups range from Rs. 7 (Gujarati) to Rs. 135 (Telugu).

Notably, Airtel is yet to reveal the list of channels which come bundled with these top-ups.

A-La-Carte

NCF charges will be applicable on these regional top ups

Airtel's new regional top-up packs are available under the a-la-carte category and will be charged as an addition to your base pack.

Hence, for any regional or mini pack you choose, you'll have to pay the maximum network capacity fee (NCF) of Rs. 130 plus 18% GST (i.e. Rs. 153.40) for first 100 channels and the price of the top up you select.
