After a stellar run with its mobile services, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is looking to disrupt the broadband market in India.
The company is all set to commercially launch its broadband services on August 12 at Reliance Industries' annual general meeting, according to The Hindu.
Dubbed as Jio GigaFiber, the service will include broadband, entertainment, and smart home solutions.
Beta trials of JioGigaFiber services have been successful: Ambani
To recall, Reliance had announced Jio GigaFiber last year, and since then the company had been laying the groundwork for the pan India launch of the service.
Just recently, Ambani said that the "beta trials of JioGigaFiber services have been very successful and the entire bouquet of smart home solutions would soon be rolled out to targeted 50 million households and beyond."
