A Bihar-based gangster, who was wanted in a high-profile kidnapping case, was arrested in RK Puram, South Delhi on Saturday.
With his arrest, contract killing of a Ghaziabad-based businessman has also been foiled, said cops.
The accused was also under radar for a daring broad daylight murder of fellow gangster Babloo Dubey in 2017, who was on his way to Bettiah Court.
The accused, Vikas Singh, his associates Kunal Singh and Rahul Singh, along with another Dubey kidnapped Nepalese industrialist Suresh Kedia in May 2016 from Birganj, Nepal.
Four days later on the intervention of Bihar Police, Kedia was rescued from Motihari, Bihar.
Vikas revealed to cops that Kedia paid them gold worth Rs. 10cr few days after his release, lest he gets targeted again.
When it came to sharing of ransom, the trio had a disagreement with Babloo, who had actually hatched the kidnapping plan while being in Buxer Jail.
They thought to eliminate Babloo and got the right chance a year later, when he was on his way to court.
Babloo was shot dead, after which Kunal and Rahul were nabbed, but Vikas kept on evading arrest.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajiv Ranjan said that Vikas went underground with one Ashu Pahalwan. For the past few months, they were running a travel company in Delhi, probably as a cover.
On Saturday, the cops received a tip-off about Vikas meeting someone outside Sangam Cinema in RK Puram around 10PM.
As soon as he arrived, cops handcuffed him.
In custody, Vikas disclosed that he was also involved in three other murder cases, one extortion case and an attempt to murder case in Bihar.
He had also received a contract to kill a Ghaziabad businessman in July this year by one of his associates based in Delhi's Ghazipur.
For this he was given two Chinese pistols and paid Rs. 15L.
Vikas and his associates had also demanded extortion money or "Rangdari Tax" from Raxaul-based Cambridge Public School owner, said Bihar Police.
When he didn't pay up, they fired indiscriminately on the school children, resulting in some casualties as well.
Further, Vikas and Kunal had also planned to kill one Parmeshwar Shah, Gramin Executive Engineer in Bihar Government, who didn't clear site-plan of some projects.
