DU in talks with CBSE to collect students' marksheet data?

Delhi University is in talks with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to establish a link to get access to the mark sheets and certificate data of the students, media reports suggest.

This will ease the admission process for both students seeking admissions and DU's admission committee, as the students need not carry their documents with them.

Direct access to student data to reduce paper work

Delhi University is one of the most prestigious universities in the country, which attracts lakhs of students from India and abroad every year.

The students need to carry many documents including Class X and XII marksheets, and certificates.

On the spot calculation of marks and document verification are not only unmanageable but also tedious.

To overcome this paperwork, DU is asking for direct access.

Process

Admission to DU colleges will probably begin from April 15

Meanwhile, CBSE has also taken steps to ease the admission process.

The board has already started the 2019 evaluation process and is planning to announce Class XII results by May 10 this year.

Tentatively, the admission process for DU colleges will begin on April 15.

The students can register online for all undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and PhD courses from April 15 to May 7.
