Delhi to get driverless metro trains from June

The Delhi Metro Rail Corproation (DMRC) is expected to wrap up its work on the Noida and Kalkaji section of Phase-III by May.

After the completion, the inspection will take place and the services would be open to public by June.

The trains running on these lines will be driverless.

Amit Mohan Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority on Tuesday announced that he is contemplating the formation of a cell that would update buyers about the legality of real estate projects.

The cell would aim to provide desired details about housing projects to investors and homebuyers.

This would save consumers from being cheated by realtors that develop illegal housing projects.

On Tuesday, one cage and two camera traps were installed at DLF Golf Course after receiving complaints of leopard sightings by residents.

Residents of the societies lodged the complaint with the Forest Department at 8:30 pm on Monday.

According to the Forest Department officials, the conflict between man and animals has increased due to rapid urbanization.

Crime9 arrested from 2 gangs of busted betting rackets

On Tuesday, Delhi Police busted two gangs that were running betting rackets in the city.

Three men were arrested from the first gang that was busted in south-east Delhi's Greater Kailash.

The second gang was busted in West Delhi's District Park of Paschimpuri and six people were arrested.

The police is currently trying to investigate their involvement in previous cases.

According to a report released by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), at least 173 candidates standing for the municipal corporation elections in Delhi have criminal cases pending against them.

Of these, most candidates belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party (35).

The report also disclosed that Congress has the most number of crorepatis (163 out of total 697).

Income TaxGurugram tax defaulters' properties to be auctioned on 20th May

According to officials from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), properties of owners that have failed to pay their property taxes will be auctioned on 20th May, 2017.

The officials said that more than 150 buildings across the city have been sealed, with most houses being sealed this month.

The MCG had notified owners to clear their property taxes before 28th February.
