Ghaziabad- IPS Officer Sanjeev Tyagi's father found dead at home
On Thursday morning, the father of UP cadre IPS Sanjeev Tyagi was allegedly discovered with a gunshot injury to his head at his Ghaziabad home.
When he was rushed to the hospital by his family members, he was declared dead on arrival.
Ghaziabad police are currently probing whether it is a murder or a suicide case.

Police: Delhi Police website gets new logo
The Delhi Police website will soon have a new logo along with its original 'Shanti Seva Nyay' logo.
The new logo is more of an appeal to the residents to help police officers to serve the city well.
Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik designed the new logo.
The new logo includes a handshake, symbolizing Delhi Police's collaboration with residents.
Gurugram: Gurugram residents suffering from power-outages for 6-9 hours
Several of Gurugram's localities faced long-term power outages on Tuesday, with localities like Sushant Lok, Ardee City and Sector 45 being the worst hit.
The aforementioned areas witnessed power outages for 6-9 hours.
The power cut occurred due to a spontaneous breakdown at the Sector 52 power house of the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN).
Electricity: NGT seeks report on discoms' e-waste collection
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) ordered an inspection team headed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to notify it about mechanisms used for e-waste collection and transport on the premises of power distribution companies.
The Tribunal was hearing a plea filed by a Delhi resident, Balbir Singh, who claimed that air-conditioners, water coolers and other electrical equipment were being dumped at grid sub-stations.
Suicide: Inspector shoots self at CR Park station
On Wednesday evening at Chittaranjan Park police station, a 45-year-old Delhi Police inspector shot himself 10 minutes after he was issued a service pistol.
The inspector, Kushal Ganguly, was supposed to be on duty for Thursday's Shab-e-barat procession arrangements.
No suicide note was recovered from the crime scene or the inspector.
Sources, however, have alleged that he was depressed due to his poor performance.
Education: Admission dates for DU not finalized yet
With the university yet to declare dates for the start of admissions for Undergraduate (UG) and Post-Graduate (PG) courses, Delhi University's plan of commencing the admission process earlier this year seems skeptical.
Administration officials claim they are sorting out "technical issues" and "finer policies" and that dates for both UG and PG admissions would be announced soon.
