Haryana government is planning to introduce 75-100 electric buses in Gurugram.

According to transport experts, the concept of electric bus is highly beneficial in a city like Gurugram that has narrow and congested roads.

Despite being advantageous both practically and environmentally, the high procurement cost of electric car continues to remain a hurdle.

Residents who live in LIG flats in Delhi's Rohini sector 34, allotted under the DDA housing scheme in 2014, regret their decision of buying the flats in the first place.

Residents complain that there is no road facility, electricity or water. They have to drink underground water.

Atleast 8,500 allottees under the DDA housing scheme 2014 returned their flats, saying they were not liveable.

A high-speed collision between a bus and tempo at Hero Honda chowk on the newly opened flyover claimed tempo driver's life. Police suspect that bus driver was driving at high speed and lost control. He is now absconding.

According to traffic police, accident occurred because traffic has been allowed on both sides of the stretch sans any divider.

The police have registered a case.

In a bid to resolve stuck realty projects, Noida authority has sent a proposal to the state government seeking extension of deadline of project settlement policy by three months.

The policy enables an exit route to realtors/builders from projects they are unable to finish.

Under the policy, the builder can surrender parts of the allotted plot on which construction is yet to be started.

The Barapullah phase-II project, the elevated corridor to INA Market and Aurobindo Marg, will now be completed by next year, thereby, missing its deadline of September 2017.

Construction was halted following high court's order that directed PWD to finish desilting of Kushak nullah to prevent waterlogging.

Once finished, Barapullah phase II will reduce travel time to airport-bound traffic from East Delhi.

CrimeEast Delhi: Woman pulled inside car and raped by neighbour

An 18-year-old woman, who works as household maid, was allegedly sexually assaulted by her neighbour inside a car in Madhu Vihar.

The incident came to light when the victim narrated her ordeal to her employer, who then alerted police.

According to her complaint, the accused pulled her inside the car when she was on her way back to home.

The accused has been arrested.
