Kim Kardashian meets President Trump to discuss prison reforms

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday met with US President Donald Trump in the White House to talk about the prison reforms.

She reportedly discussed with him a potential pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother who is serving a life sentence for a first-time non-violent drug offense.

How did Kardashian get involved in the case?

Kardashian had come across Johnson's story on social media last year and was moved by it heavily. She then joined forces with Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, to push for federal prison reforms.
