'Sanju' to be screened at Poland's film festival

Beyond money, 'Sanju' adds another feather to its cap

Rajkumar Hirani-directed 'Sanju' has become the first Bollywood production to be presented during the New Horizons Festivals, Poland.

The biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt had its European premiere at the International Festival in Wroclaw on July 29.

Hirani, who visited Poland at the special invitation of Consul of India in Poland, Kartikey Johri, said he was elated to be a part of the festival.

"'Sanju' was well received by the Polish citizens. I would like to thank the Consul Kartikey Johri for inviting me and my team for such an amazing event," Hirani said.

A co-operation agreement was also signed, the contracting parties being City Officials from Wroclaw City, Honorary Consul Kartikey Johri, and Hirani.

The mutual cooperation applies to future movie productions by Hirani in Poland.

Sanju became the biggest opener of 2018 earning Rs. 37.45 crore at the box office on the first day. With this and the 100% success rate of five films in a row, Rajkumar Hirani has become one of the most profitable directors of Bollywood.
