He said that he is deeply pained to be embroiled in the #MeToo movement on false allegations.

An anonymous woman had alleged that Ghai spiked her drink and raped her several years ago. Her ordeal was re-shared by Twitter user Mahima Kukreja.

Meanwhile, Ghai is also planning to seek justice in the court of law and might file a defamation suit against the alleged victim if she fails to prove her allegations.

"If she claims this way, she should go to the court of law and prove it. Justice will be done or I will go for defamation certainly," he added.
