'Game of Thrones' prequel casts another British actor: Details here
'Game of Thrones' is looking to keep the momentum of their global popularity going by making a prequel.
The show, whose final season is slated to release in the first half of 2019, has already begun casting for the said prequel. To this extent, they cast two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts.
Now, they have cast another British actor, Josh Whitehouse.
Read about it here.
What will the prequel be about?
The yet unnamed prequel is set thousands of years before the events of Westeros unfolded in 'Game of Thrones'.
It would show the transition from the Golden Age of Heroes to the darkest hour, presumably, the creation of White Walkers.
The story will delve into the mysteries of the east, something only hinted at in the current show, and will explore the legendary Starks.
Whitehouse arrives to the world of Westeros
Whitehouse, who has acted in 'Northern Soul' and 'Poldark', the BBC series, has been confirmed by HBO to have joined the cast.
Much like Watts, his character story too is being kept under wraps, but HBO informed that he would play a 'key role' in the upcoming prequel.
Whitehouse confirmed the same tweeting, 'The truth is out'.

The brains behind the show
The prequel, likely to release in 2020, is being spearheaded by showrunner Jane Goldman, who has films like 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' to her name, and the author of 'A Song of Ice and Fire' George RR Martin.
The executive producers include the current GoT producer, Vince Gerardis.
Jim Danger Gray and Daniel Zelman, who co-created 'Damages and Bloodline', are part of this project.
Do you know?
The first long night of Westeros
Although HBO typically keeps the show's name untitled, Martin has gone ahead and dubbed it 'The Long Night'. He previously favored this title and it definitely hints that the prequel will show the creation of the White Walkers and the famous War for Dawn.
