"Everything I touch turns to gold". This quote fits Aamir Khan perfectly who is known for delivering hits at the box office.
He did it again with 'Thugs Of Hindostan' which has smashed all the records at the box office on the first day itself.
The movie earned a sensational collection of Rs. 50.75 crore on Thursday, the highest ever for any Hindi movie.
According to Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' has set new benchmarks at the box office with the whopping collections.
He also mentioned that tremendous hype, Diwali holiday and the massive screen counts helped the multi-starrer get the humongous collections.
Besides, the record-breaking advance booking also improved the movie's performance at the box office.
#ThugsOfHindostan smashes *all records* [Hindi films] as it breaches ₹ 50 cr on *Day 1*... Sets new BENCHMARKS in some circuits... Big holiday [#Diwali] + tremendous hype + massive screen count help put up a SENSATIONAL TOTAL...— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) November 9, 2018
With such a humongous total, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' has certainly created new records at the box office.
About the same, Taran Adarsh revealed that no movie before ToH earned this much during Diwali holidays.
The movie has turned out to be a goldmine for Yash Raj films too as none of their movies opened to such a historic collection ever.

Hindi: ₹ 50.75 cr.
Tamil + Telugu: ₹ 1.50 cr
Total: ₹ 52.25 cr [5000 screens]
Highest Day 1 for a #Diwali release
Highest Day 1 for YRF film
Highest Day 1 for a Hindi film
The massive first-day collection by 'Thugs Of Hindostan' must have brought relief to the makers.
However, the real test for the movie will start from Friday.
While the fan frenzy ensured it got a sensational opening, the disappointing reviews might change the game for ToH.
Now it will be interesting to see if the movie can maintain its pace or not.
