Post her exit, there have been speculations about the new female lead of the movie.
And while the makers are yet to finalize the actress, the movie's shooting will begin as per schedule from January 22 with Varun, claimed reports.
Here are the details.
Reportedly, Remo's directorial will be shot in Punjab and London.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, "During the first seven-day schedule in Punjab, a song and a few scenes will be shot after which the team moves to the UK in the first week of February. A major chunk of the film will be shot in London, and it wraps up mid-April".
Remo's dance movies usually revolve around a budding dancer who becomes a champion.
This untitled project will also have the basic storyline intact.
"It chronicles the journey of the underdogs who go on to defeat the champions. While Varun leads the Indian contingent, the makers are in talks with an international dancer to come on board as his competitor," the source added.
Earlier, Katrina was roped in to play the lead in Remo's directorial. However, she announced her exit a month before the movie hit the floors.
Katrina's spokesperson stated that she left the project as she is busy with Salman Khan's Bharat.
Producer Bhushan Kumar also confirmed the news and called it a mutual decision.
After all, who can say no to Bhaijaan?
Post Katrina's exit from Remo's movie, the names of several actresses have been doing the rounds of media.
The reports suggested that makers are planning to go with the lead pair from ABCD 2. This means Shraddha Kapoor could be signed for the movie.
Besides, Sara Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez are also being considered for the movie.
Let's wait for an official announcement.
