Uri: The Surgical Strike hit the theaters last Friday and people couldn't wait to watch it.
And, like most Indians who don't pay for the movie tickets and conduct their torrent jugaads to illegally download the movie, some people did the same for Uri.
However, it turned out to be a spoof from the filmmakers who gave a befitting reply to the users.
'Uri' team had uploaded fake movie video on torrent
The team behind the Aditya Dhar movie has been trying their best to keep the prints from leaking out to illegal torrent websites.
But, they know they can only do so much and cannot prevent every person who would sneakily try to shoot the movie in the theaters.
Therefore, the filmmakers concocted a brilliant plan and themselves uploaded a fake movie video on torrent.
Users downloaded 3.8 GB file of movie from torrent
Apparently, some people fell into the Uri team's trap.
They downloaded a 3.8GB file of the movie, which was prepared exactly how a torrent-movie would look like.
The movie started with all the mandatory credits.
But little did the users know they'll be tricked soon.

Caught in the act: Vicky's surprise dialogue to the pirates
"Surgical strikes 0400-hours pe hongi. Unhe pata bhi nahi chalega ki kya hua (Surgical-strikes will start from 0400-hours. They won't even know what happened)," said Yami.
Vicky then looked at the viewers saying, "Theek usi tarah, jaise iss waqt hum aapke screen mein ghus gaye hai. Aur aapko pata bhi nahi chala (Just like how we've entered your screen and you didn't even realize)."
'Picture dekhiye, garv se theater mein jaakar'
Following this, Yami explained that if the Indian Army can enter another country and attack the terrorists, they can do so against torrents as well.
Vicky continued saying "Picture dekhiye, garv se, theater mein jaakar (Watch the movie, with pride, in the theater)."
It was a smart move by Uri team and they achieved both the objectives- to prevent piracy and promote the movie.
