And while Vicky's fans were ecstatic, their excitement increased further when it was reported that Sara Ali Khan has been approached for the female lead.
However, recent buzz says, she has turned down the offer.
Sara feels Shoojit's movie won't give her enough exposure
According to a report published in Bollywood Life, when Shoojit approached her for his Udham Singh biopic, she politely refused to do it.
Sara felt that the movie will not give her enough exposure as an actress.
Reportedly, the newcomer wants to do meaty roles now.
Besides, her dates also clashed with the shooting of Imtiaz Ali-directorial Love Aaj Kal 2 with Kartik Aaryan.
'Kedarnath,' 'Simmba,' have consolidated Sara's position in Bollywood
Sara, who is just two movies old in Bollywood, has won over every filmmaker with her acting prowess.
Her debut movie Kedarnath showed that she has promise, while the massive success of her second release Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, catapulted her to the league of Bollywood's A-listers.
Certainly, her career is on a roll since then.
