GoT special: Intriguing facts about the fiercest Stark daughter, Arya
Arya Stark, who later becomes 'no one' is the fiercest daughter of Eddard Stark.
She has always been a fighter and has seen her share of violence and cruelty in the world.
She is an able swordswoman, a master assassin, and a loving daughter out there to get revenge and end the people who wronged her.
Here are some facts about Arya worth knowing.
She can warg just like her brother Bran Stark
House Stark is quite interesting. Three of the Stark children (in the books) have skinchanging/warging abilities.
We all know from the show that Bran can enter the minds of animals and even people to observe the surroundings and/or defend himself.
In the books, Arya is believed to have warg abilities (with cats and Nymeria, her direwolf), although hers are not as prominent as Bran.
The only character with a POV chapter in every book
George RR Martin's books are written in a 'point of view' (POV) format where each chapter is told from the limited perspective of a certain character.
In the first novel, there were nine characters and the number increased to 31 by the fifth novel.
Arya Stark is the only character in the series to have a point of view chapter in every book.
The beautiful Arya viewers know is different in the books
Arya is played by Maisie Williams in the series and looks really beautiful.
In the books, however, she is described quite differently.
Her face is 'horse-like' and with her grey eyes, brown hair, and skinny, athletic physique, she is often mistaken for a boy.
Even her nickname is "Arya Horseface".
Notably, her father has described her as beautiful, just like her aunt, Lyanna Stark.
She has killed a lot more people than viewers realize
First of all, in the books, she is not more than 10 years of age. So, her murdering multiple people becomes even more disturbing.
Secondly, her methods. She has slit throats, gouged eyes out, carved people's faces off, and even killed the Freys, baked their corpses in pies and fed those to their father!
And thirdly, her kill-count is significantly higher in the books.
