Vivek trying to break ice with Salman, again?

Vivek asks if Salman believes in forgiveness; will he reply?

Back in 2003, Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan "entertained" us with their high-voltage, off-screen fight.

The two actors, embroiled in a tiff over Aishwarya Rai, haven't been on good terms since then.

Also, given Salman's influence, Vivek's career went crashing down, Aishwarya left him, and producers refused to work with him.

Recently Vivek was asked about the same, and his reply was interesting.

Vivek's answer has made media go all crazy

Vivek, who is busy promoting PM Narendra Modi, was asked in an interview if Salman was given a truth serum, what would be his question.

"Do you (Salman Khan) truly believe in forgiveness," Vivek retorted.

The question naturally created quite a buzz, and Vivek's reply has sent media into a tizzy.

Everyone is now looking forward to Salman's reply, who is unlikely to answer.

Salman had allegedly called Vivek up some 41 times

Now, let's travel 16 years back, and revisit the infamous fight between Vivek and Salman.

It was on April 1, 2003, when news reports flashed about Vivek holding a press conference accusing the Dabangg actor of calling him 41 times through the night of March 29, alleging that Vivek had "physical relationships with Aishwarya Rai, Diya Mirza, Rani Mukherjee and Somy Ali."

Notably, Aishwarya and Somy were both ex-girlfriends of Salman, and right after breaking up with her Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam co-actor, Aishwarya tried to find solace in Vivek's arms.

This did not go down well with Salman apparently, which is why he might have called up Vivek drunkenly and threatened to kill him.

Though Salman didn't kill Vivek, that press conference surely did.

Aftermath: Vivek lost films, personal life took a hit

Producers shied away from Vivek, Aishwarya left him for his rash move, and within a night, the Saathiya actor became an outcast.

This huge blow came to Vivek when he was slowly becoming the poster boy for Yash Raj Films and a promising actor of Bollywood.

Though he did several films post the fiasco, it was Shootout at Lokhandwala that saved Vivek's flagging career.

In the meantime, Vivek concentrated on South Indian films and appeared in negative roles in most.

His latest release is Malayalam film, Lucifer, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film, in just eight days, became the fastest Malayalam film to earn Rs. 100 crore.

Vivek was also seen in Tamil film Vivegam, which has Ajith Kumar, Akshara Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles.

Coming back to the film, PM Narendra Modi, by Mary Kom director Omung Kumar, was set to hit the screens on April 11, but the Election Commission has stalled its release.

Vivek, who plays the titular character, said, "There are powerful people who are standing against us including many renowned lawyers of the Supreme Court. But they cannot deter us."
