South Indian actress Amala Paul's nude avatar in the latest teaser of upcoming Tamil drama thriller Aadai has completely surprised her fans.
The 90-second teaser has blown the minds of netizens, who have hailed her for the bold move.
Everybody is curious about her frightened look, and are asking just one thing, "What has made her look so battered?"
Here's more to know.
The teaser begins with a worried woman, asking about her missing daughter to a policeman.
Talking to the officer, the woman said that her daughter was drunk the last time she spoke to her.
While the cops didn't seem helpful initially, the quest eventually began with cops searching for her in a building.
After some time, they find her in the naked, bruised state.
The teaser of the Rathna Kumar directorial received a staggering response, with Bollywood producer-director Karan Johar presenting the same.
He wrote in a tweet, "Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you. Presenting #Aadai a Tamil film that breaks the shackles of the status quo. Starring the bold, beautiful & badass @Amala_ams. Directed by @MrRathna produced by @vstudiosoffl @thisisoorka @vijaykartik_k."

Earlier in an interview, Amala said that this project's engaging narrative fueled her quest as an artist.
"The intricacies of my character Kaamini is already giving me jitters and especially to everyone else around me. After watching Rathna Kumar's Meyaadha Maan, my confidence spurred up with his capabilities of weaving storylines in an engaging narrative," she added.
The teaser seems to prove her point.
Rathna also talked about how Amala's role demanded physical and mental strength, and how the plot is full of twists and turns. The movie recently went through the censor certification and received an 'A' certificate, unsurprisingly. It is slated to release in July, 2019.
