Perhaps, for the first time in his career, Shah Rukh Khan is taking some time off. Notably, King Khan has not signed any film since his last outing, Zero (2018).
Turns out, he just wants to loosen a bit, and spend more time with his family.
Naturally, there are tons of fans (including this writer) waiting for their beloved superstar to make a comeback.
Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's 'Zero'
To note, SRK is going through a rough phase, professionally, for quite some time now.
He was last seen in Aanand L. Rai directorial Zero. The film revolved around the extraordinary journey of Bauua Singh (SRK), a dwarf from a small town, who falls in love with Aafia (Anushka Sharma), a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy.
However, the film was a complete debacle.
Even during his sabbatical, speculations are on
Despite him lying low, you can't keep SRK away from the news cycle. Time and again, his future projects are being talked about.
However, SRK hasn't denied his involvement with these films.
May be he does need time off to clear his head, and emerge stronger.
I just felt that I should take time out: SRK
SRK is currently vacationing in London with his family.
Talking to Filmfare, he clarified, "I have no film with me right now."
Explaining his plans, SRK added, "My heart doesn't allow me to (sign films)..I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books. I just want to spend more time with my family."
SRK will soon be seen on David Letterman's show
Meanwhile, for those fans who can't wait, here's some good news.
The 53-year-old actor is all set to appear on the American talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.
Interestingly, SRK will be the first Indian celebrity to be featured on the said show, which has previously hosted personalities like Barack Obama, George Clooney, and Malala Yousafzai, among others.
