Kurt Cobain's 'solo' album to be released

Filmmaker Brett Morgen announced that never-before-heard audio recordings by Kurt Cobain, the Nirvana frontman would be released on 6 November 2015.

Brett Morgen announced that the album will sell along the DVD release of "Montage of Heck".

The album includes Cobain's 12-minute unreleased acoustic track.

The album was created after a cumbersome sifting through the 107 cassettes and 200 hours of unheard Cobain home-recordings.

Kurt Donald Cobain was a legendary American musician who was the face of the famous rock band Nirvana. He was born on 20 February 1967.

Cobain alongwith Krist Novoselic formed Nirvana in Aberdeen Washington in 1985.

The band shot to fame with the breakthrough success of their song "Smells like Teen Spirit" from their 2nd album Nevermind (1991).

Even though Kurt was one of the most loved celebrities, he had enough personal demons to fight.

Cobain was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as an adult and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as a child.

Moreover, his family had a history of suicide, mental illness and alcoholism.

Throughout his life, he was marred by heroin addiction which began in 1986 and continued till his death.

His death was one of the most controversial events in the history entertainment.

While the official cause of death was given suicide by a shotgun wound to his head, many other theories are afloat.

Kurt Cobain joined the "27 club" of notable musicians such as Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison - all who had died at the age of 27 between 1969 and 1971.

Nirvana's first album "Bleach" (1989) was not very well received.

With their "In Utero" release in September 1993, Nirvana went on to take over the album charts.

The group showcased "Unplugged in New York" (1994) after Cobain's demise and it topped the charts.

"From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah" released 2 years later too was a big hit.

The Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck was the documentary on Kurt Cobain directed by Brett Morgen, who began working on it in 2007.

This documentary was Cobain's widow Courtney Love's brainchild.

The documentary premiered on 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

The Montage of Heck highlighted Cobain's spellbinding "artistry, his troubled childhood, his unfortunate addiction to heroin and approach to fatherhood."
