Aamir Khan is on a reunion spree.
These actors will be coming together for the Bollywood remake of R. Madhavan starrer Tamil movie Vikram Vedha.
The movie will reportedly feature Aamir as the lead antagonist.
As per a Filmfare report, Saif will step into Madhavan's shoes and play the role of an honest cop.
On the other hand, Aamir will be the ruthless gangster as was portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi in the 2017 release.
Notably, this will be Aamir and Saif's third collaboration after Parampara in 1993 and the super hit film Dil Chahta Hai in 2001.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Aamir would be seen in a negative role on the big screen. Earlier, the superstar played the antagonist in Aatank Hi Aatank (1995), Earth (1998), Fanaa (2006) and Dhoom 3 (2013).
Reports further suggested that the movie will be helmed by filmmaker duo Pushkar-Gayatri, who had also directed the original Tamil movie.
To be titled Vikram Veda, filmmaker-producer Neeraj Pandey will finance it.
Further, this will be Neeraj's first collaboration with both Aamir and Saif.
Reportedly, the Khans have given their nod for this project, and it's expected to hit the floors in March 2020.
For now, Aamir is preparing for Lal Singh Chaddha, which might begin rolling in October this year.
The movie will showcase India's growth as a nation, and will apparently include instances like the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
On the other hand, Saif is gearing up for the release of Sacred Games 2.
The thriller web series will premiere on August 15 on Netflix.
