Top six most expensive films Hollywood has ever produced
Hollywood is probably the most recognizable film industry in the world, where movies get made on a regular basis.
Like the stories, cast and crew, even the budget of these films vary, with some being made by independent filmmakers on a shoestring budget, while some are done on a massive scale.
So here are the top six most expensive films ever made in Hollywood.
'Justice League': Warner Bros lost an estimated $60 million
Justice League, a 2017 film featuring an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, was made on a budget of $300 million.
The film, which opened to mixed reviews from critics, earned a total of $657 million worldwide, against the break-even point of $750 million.
The studio, Warner Bros. Pictures, thereby lost an estimated $60 million.
$300mn: Budget of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which was made a decade ago of Justice League, also had an estimated production budget of $300 million.
Even after adjusting for inflation, this Johnny Depp-starrer remains one of the most expensive films Hollywood has ever produced.
However, unlike Justice League, At World's End was a massive hit becoming 2007's highest-grossing film collecting over $960 million.
