After 'Inshallah' got shelved, Alia suffered maximum loss: Here's how
However, it was actress Alia Bhatt who faced the maximum loss.
Alia had turned down the opportunity to work with Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan because of Inshallah.
And now the diva has lost both the projects.
Quite a loss, isn't it?
"Alia was looking forward to collaborating with Salman and SLB"
Reportedly, the Raazi actress was approached for one of Aamir's upcoming movies, based on spiritual guru Bhagwan Rajneesh (Osho).
However, Alia had to let go of the project as she had booked her dates for Inshallah.
"Alia was looking forward to collaborating with Salman and SLB. She is very upset as she gave up on various projects too during the period," a source stated.
Alia was approached to play Ma Anand Sheela
Notably, the movie based on Osho and headlined by Aamir, has been in news for a while now.
In fact, the PK actor was rumored to essay the role of the spiritual guru in the movie.
On the other hand, Alia was approached to play the role of Ma Anand Sheela in the movie. Clearly, in vain now.
The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed, wrote Salman
Getting back to Inshallah, its indefinite postponement was announced by Salman on social media.
Although he didn't divulge any detail, the superstar wrote, "The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed".
Meanwhile, there are reports that Inshallah suffered the wrath of Salman and SLB's tiff.
Reportedly, the Bharat actor asked for certain changes in the script, which didn't go down well with SLB.
For now, Alia's hands are full with interesting projects
Meanwhile, Salman is gearing up for the much-awaited third installment of his Dabangg franchise.
Helmed by Prabhu Deva, the movie will be hitting the theaters on December 20, and will release in four languages - Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
On the other hand, Alia will be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 and SS Rajamouli's mega-project RRR.
Of course, Alia was keen to play Ma Anand Sheela
Interestingly, Alia had also expressed a keen desire to play Ma Anand Sheela on the big screen. In fact, during Rajeev Masand's Actresses Roundtable last year, she had called it her dream role, but didn't reveal much details about the project.
Salman, SLB continue to be friends despite 'Inshallah' getting shelved
"Bhansali respects and loves his actors and suggestions are welcome but not if they aim to alter the narrative. Hence, he has taken the decision to shelve Inshallah. However, they are still friends and Bhansali has immense love and respect for him," a source stated.
