Daughter Pooja rubbishes Mahesh Bhatt's death news, posts pictures
Celebrities being falsely "declared" dead by media isn't something new, and the latest one to become a victim of fake news was Mahesh Bhatt.
Reports claimed Bhatt, who is busy with his upcoming directorial Sadak 2, died due to heart attack.
But his elder daughter Pooja rubbished all these rumors by posting two pictures of him. She said the 70-year-old is "living dangerously".
Apparently, Gujarati actor Mahesh Bhatt was misunderstood as Bollywood filmmaker
The rumors about Bhatt's death surfaced after CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association) shared the news of Gujarati actor Mahesh Bhatt's demise.
But, he was misunderstood as the Bollywood filmmaker.
Nupur Alankar, CINTAA's executive committee member, addressed the confusion and said, "It's a certain Gujarati actor Mahesh Bhatt, who has passed away. He was a member of the CINTAA."
Meanwhile, Pooja said he is his usual self
To the rumour mongers and the ones who called in a genuine state of panic upon hearing that my father @MaheshNBhatt had a heart attack and is dead, here is ample proof that he is his usual self, living dangerously and kicking! In red shoes no less! 🙏🙏🙏 pic.twitter.com/iwxtvpfOSO— Pooja Bhatt (@PoojaB1972) September 6, 2019
Interestingly, Bhatt has returned to direction after two decades
To note, Bhatt is all set to make his comeback to direction after two decades with Sadak 2.
His last directorial was Sanjay Dutt's 1999 release Kartoos.
Sadak 2 is the sequel to 1991 super hit movie Sadak starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja in the lead, which was also helmed by Bhatt.
The much-talked-about movie was announced on his 70th birthday last year.
Pooja and Sanjay to reunite after 28 years
Talking about the cast, Sadak 2 features Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Gulshan Grover in key roles.
Besides, Pooja and Sanjay, from the first installment, will also be a part of the sequel.
Pooja will be reuniting with Sanjay after 28 years. They were last seen together in Sadak itself.
Reportedly, Pooja will also be assisting Bhatt in directing the movie.
After rumors, Mukesh Bhatt too cleared the air
Notably, Bhatt's brother Mukesh Bhatt also clarified the same and told SpotboyE that the renowned filmmaker is "hale and hearty". "My brother is perfectly fine. And, he is hectically involved in making the most memorable film of his life Sadak 2," he added.
