As much as he is happy to be back home, the 67-year-old actor is even more eager to get back to work now.
And if media reports are to be believed, Rishi will begin shooting for his projects by the end of this month.
To note, Rishi has always been vocal about how much he missed facing the camera while he was in NY.
In fact, in one of his interviews, he even mentioned that he would be back in action as soon as possible.
"I'll take 15 days off to connect with my roots and by the end of September, I'll start shooting," Rishi stated.
While he had wrapped up a major chunk of the shooting back then, the patchwork is yet to be done.
And now that Rishi is back in the bay, the makers are looking forward to resuming the shoot soon.
"We're planning to begin towards the end of this month or beginning of October based on the schedule of the actors. We'll soon finalize the dates and announce the release date in concurrence with the Studio," producer Sunir Kheterpal told Mumbai Mirror.
Rishi is also in talks with Sanjay Dutt for his next home production Pandit Galli Ka Ali, which will be directed by Sanjay Puran Singh.
Talking about the same, Singh stated, "It's too early to comment on the film. I've been in constant touch with both Sanju Sir and Rishi Sir since last few months. I'm looking forward to seeing him back to work."
Meanwhile, there are reports that Rishi is in talks for several other movies as well, and will be signing a new film soon. "It will roll this year itself before he starts work on Pandit Galli Ka Ali," a source was quoted as saying.
As of now, Rishi is enjoying his time with family and close friends in Mumbai.
The veteran actor, who received a warm welcome at his home, was recently spotted enjoying Ganesh Chaturthi with Neil Nitin Mukesh and his family.
The Saaho actor also shared a picture of his daughter Nurvi on Instagram happily posing with "both her Daadus (Grand dads)," Nitin Mukesh and Rishi.
