And that's what happened when recently a video of Alia lifting 70 kgs in a deadlift workout routine surfaced online.
To note, this was the actress' personal best so far.
Alia wasn't comfortable with lifting weights initially
The video was shared by SOHFIT on Instagram, which also briefed about Alia's progress with weight lifting.
Her trainer revealed that the actress wasn't comfortable lifting weights at the beginning.
However, through her hard work and sheer determination, the Raazi actress slowly graduated to lifting more than her body weight.
"I'm going to give this star the credit she deserves," the caption read.
She started with 9 kgs dumbbell, lifted 60 kgs recently
Detailing her journey, Alia's trainer Sohrab Khushrushahi stated that they started with one single 20lb (9 kg) dumbbell for deadlifting.
And recently she "managed to get in 5 reps at 50 kgs and she rocked it," he writes in the caption.
And while he chose to push her limits, the diva took him with a surprise as "she cruised through 3 reps at 60kgs."
"Love the fact that she NEVER backs down"
Alia pushed her limits further.
She did two sets at 70kgs, even though Sohrab expected her to do just one.
Praising her, he wrote, "Love the fact that she NEVER backs down from what's put in front of her. New personal best done and now we're going to try and smash it, soon. Stay the same @aliaabhatt - we've got a lot to do."

Quite expectedly, Alia's deadlifting video went viral in no time with fans heaping praises for the Gully Boy actress. "She is an inspiration for everyone," one of the Instagram users wrote in the comments. On the other hand, another user crowned her as "Strong Queen".
