Hrithik-Tiger's 'War' beats 'Avengers', 'Thugs of Hindostan' on Day 1
On its first day of run, the film has collected Rs. 53.35 crore, thereby beating Hollywood blockbuster Avengers: Endgame and Aamir Khan's 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan, in the league of highest-opening films of all time.

'War' is a high-octane action thriller film
Coming to the film, helmed by Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under the grand banner of Yash Raj Films, War is a high-octane action thriller film.
It follows the story of an Indian intelligence agent (Tiger) who is out to kill his former mentor (Hrithik).
The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
'War' stands strong despite competition from 'Sye Raa..' and 'Joker'
War stands strong despite competition from major releases such as Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, an epic action film, directed by Surender Reddy. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the lead. Another major release this weekend is Todd Phillips-directorial Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character.
