#ComicBytes: Five sibling-pairs with superpowers in Marvel Universe
It is said that blood is thicker than water, and the same applies to superpowers.
Marvel Universe introduced us to numerous heroes and it was an inevitability that some would be related.
While a lot of these superpowered siblings don't see eye to eye and even fight on opposite sides, the familial ties make their comics fun.
Here are Marvel's five sibling-pairs with superpowers.
The siblings who kick up a storm
Exposed to cosmic radiation, Johnny became the Human Torch and Sue the Invisible Woman.
Johnny can manipulate fire and plasma as well as channel Nova attacks where blasts reach the core temperature of stars.
Sue's psionic powers include projectiles and force-fields from hyperspace, besides invisibility.
Inequality among the Gods of Marvel
Thanos is the mad Titan who wreaked havoc in 'Infinity War', but did you know he had a brother?
Born to the rulers of the Eternals, Thanos and Eros are siblings.
There is no love lost between them, as Eros, despite being weaker, thwarted his sibling's plans on more than one occasion.
Thanos, however, is the more powerful one, due to his Deviant gene.
He is fast, she is weird
The Maximoff twins are blessed with mutant powers, as we first saw in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
However, their power in the films is much lower than the comic depictions.
Wanda or Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful mutants who harnesses Chaos Magic besides her power of telekinesis and mind control.
Pietro, known as Quicksilver, is faster than the speed of light.
From Mother Russia, with love
The Rasputin siblings include Colossus, Mikhail, Magik.
Colossus is the most popular, being a member of the X-Men and having appeared in the Deadpool movies. He is one of Marvel's physically strongest mutants, having an armored shell of living.
Mikhail has strong matter manipulation powers.
Magik is the strongest with teleportation, has mastery over magic and ability to harness the Phoenix Force's powers.
The deadly shades of Summers
Three of the most powerful mutants in Marvel hail from the Summers family. Cyclops or Scott can shoot beams from his eyes.
Havoc or Alex can absorb cosmic energy and radiate superheated plasma blasts from his body.
Though Alex and Scott are immune to each other's powers they can be damaged by their Omega-level mutant brother, Vulcan.
Vulcan can manipulate all known energy forms.
Our choice of pairs
While choosing the sibling-pairs with superpowers, we have ignored adopted siblings like Loki and Thor, absolute Gods like Odin and Zeus as well as siblings in alternate realities like Cable and Rachel Summers.
