Wonder Woman is one of DC's most iconic characters and a founding member of the Justice League. Diana of Themyscira also has a unique body since she was made out of clay by Queen Hippolyta and then brought to life by Zeus. Wonder Woman was then blessed with different powers by Gods of Olympus. Here, we present five weird facts about Wonder Woman's body. Wonder Woman is resistant to fire, as the Injustice comics showed us. She withstood a full blast from Superman's heat vision. While some might think this is due to her body being made of clay, it is actually due to the powers bestowed upon her by Goddess Hestia. Hestia's blessing allows her to use the Lasso of Truth while making her invulnerable to fire. Wonder Woman might be strong enough to take on Superman, but she is not invincible. It appears that her body can be hurt by bullets, arrows, swords. That is why, she uses the bracelets or her shield as defensive weapons. However, if you were mulling hurting Wonder Woman in a planned attack, you should be aware that her reflexes are faster than Superman's. Wonder Woman or Diana cannot age. There is no slow aging or magic involved in this process. She is simply ageless due to a curse shared by all Amazons. The Goddesses that gave them life after they secluded themselves from humanity, also cursed them to live forever as a warning. Thus Diana will remain 20 something forever since Amazons don't age past their prime. Diana had blinded herself with snake venom when she had to face Medusa, who could turn anyone, who looked at her, into stone. Without her vision too, Wonder Woman remained a feared warrior. However, Athena granted her a portion of the Goddesses' own sight. This gave Diana the power to see the truth in things and determine if others were lying to her. Wonder Woman's earliest weakness included losing her strength if a man chained her bracelets together. This was probably a reference to her creator, William Marston's own bondage related proclivities. However, the comics soon removed this weakness, after it drew sharp criticism from all quarters. Ultimately there is nothing as uncool as having a feminist icon completely lose her powers when shackled by the patriarchy!
