Sushmita took break from films after adopting her second daughter
Notably, Sushmita took a break from films after she adopted her younger daughter Alisah in 2010.
In an interview with movie critic Rajeev Masand, Sushmita had said, "I asked myself 'If I choose to not be with Alisah and do films, which one would I regret more?' It was a no-brainer for me."
Sushmita is a mother of two adopted girls, Renee and Alisah.
Sushmita was crowned Miss Universe in 1994
However, Sushmita has not confirmed the project that she will mark her much-awaited comeback with.
To recall, she became the first Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe in 1994.
Previously, she has acted in several Hindi and other language films, including the likes of Sirf Tum (1999), Biwi No.1 (1999), Main Hoon Na (2004) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005).
Sushmita had said she didn't regret her break
"I wanted to see her (Alisah) through her formative years. After she turns six, I can look back at working. If my career in films is done, so be it. I'll get into business or something else. But this, I cannot miss," she had said.
