As the novel coronavirus pandemic continues to claim more and more lives around the world, personalities from almost all walks of life are coming forward to spread awareness about the disease.
The video was posted by Virat and Anushka on social media earlier today.
The power couple took turns to speak. Virat noted that we are going through a "very difficult time", as Anushka added that we must "act together" to stop the spread of the deadly virus.
They urged everyone to indulge in self-isolation and stay at home.
"Stay healthy," Anushka said in conclusion.
In an earlier tweet posted on Thursday, Virat urged everyone to be attentive and aware of the COVID-19 disease. His post came soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation over the situation.
In another tweet, the 31-year-old Indian skipper gave a shout-out to doctors and medical professionals in India and across the globe for their efforts against the outbreak.
Further, it should be noted that the coronavirus outbreak has severely affected both Virat and Anushka's fields of work.
The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) has been pushed from March 29 to April 15, and India's three-match ODI series against South Africa has also been called off.
On the other hand, all movie and TV production projects remain stalled until at least March 31.
The coronavirus pandemic, which originated in China last year, has so far killed over 10,000 persons around the world and infected nearly 3 lakh. In India, the virus has claimed five lives. Symptoms of the disease include coughing, fever, fatigue, and difficulty in breathing.
