Bahubali-2 continues to shatter records; over 62 lakhs tickets were sold on BookMyShow alone, contributing more than Rs. 120cr to its collections over the opening weekend in India.

During peak hours, it sold more than one lakh tickets in just one hour - over 27 tickets per second.

It also became the first film to generate over Rs. 100cr on BookMyShow in one weekend.

Filmed with a budget of approximately Rs. 200 crore, Bahubali 2 boasts of "outrageously large sets, grand war scenes, and extensive CGI work".

After Dhoom3 and Bang Bang! this will be the third movie to be released on IMAX.

The producers are leaving no stone unturned, it will release in 9000+ screens over the globe.

It will release in 6,500 screens in India.

AP and Telangana allow 6 shows of Bahubali 2

Bahubali 2 makers have been granted permission by Andhra Pradesh government to run 6 shows as opposed to normal 4 for the movie on single screens for 10 days while the Telangana government has allowed five shows daily which will help the movie collections greatly.

Sources stated that SS Rajamouli's epic Bahubali 2, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati has become the first Indian film to cross Rs. 1000 crore in global earnings.

The film has made over Rs. 800 crore since its release in India and Rs. 200 crore abroad.

It has also become the highest grossing Indian film in the US making $13.7 million.
