Home-cooked food, extra facilities: Honeypreet getting VIP treatment in prison?
A month after Honeypreet Insan's arrest, reports have emerged that the adopted daughter of 'godman' Ram Rahim Singh is getting VIP treatment in Ambala Central Jail.
According to India Today, 'special treatment' includes home-cooked food instead of prison food as well as privileges to her kin despite chances of her escape.
Earlier, sources had said even Ram Rahim was getting special treatment in prison.

Honeypreet's life behind bars seemed usual in the beginning
After absconding for over a month, Honeypreet and her aide Sukhdeep were arrested on October 3.
Initially, they were kept under a constable's watch in a high-security women's cell, separated from other inmates.
They were given bread slices and tea for breakfast.
Once when Honeypreet demanded a pillow, the prison authorities reportedly denied her permission saying prisoners aren't entitled to luxuries.
But things seem to have changed drastically in a month
But now it appears Honeypreet is getting special home-cooked food. Her relatives were also allowed to bring their car into a high-security zone where only police vehicles are allowed; it stayed there for three hours.
Police had even failed to trace the car's VIP registration number.
It is noteworthy that Dera followers have threatened to release Honeypreet and Ram Rahim from prison.

Earlier, there were reports Ram Rahim was getting VIP treatment in Rohtak prison. He got an AC room and was allowed to use facilities meant for cops. Senior officers were reportedly assaulted by Ram Rahim's securitymen when they tried to treat him like a criminal.
However, Haryana govt has denied the allegations
Haryana Jail Minister Krishan Lal Panwar has refuted the allegations. He explained the car was allowed to enter as one of its female occupants was unwell.
The Haryana government's role during the Panchkula violence was questioned too. Considering the Dera is among BJP's biggest vote banks, the reports aren't surprising.
However, it'll need to act tough on such criminal elements to ensure law and order.
