The bullet-riddled body of a 23-year-old Territorial Army jawan was found in the Shopian district of South Kashmir today.
The jawan, Irfan Ahmed Dar, was on vacation and was reported missing on Friday, the 24th of November.
Locals found the body in a pool of blood and reported the incident to the police who then confirmed the identity of the deceased.

Details of the incident
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ambarkar Shriram identified the body as Dar. Dar's car was also found close to the body.
He said that there's a possibility that Dar had been kidnapped by terrorists and then killed.
Dar hailed from the Shopian district. He belonged to the Indian Army's Engineering Regiment, and was posted in Gurez.
Investigation into his death is currently underway.
