The Law Ministry informed the Lok Sabha that the 24 High Courts present across the country have only 73 women judges while their male counterparts are 600 in number.
Also, the Supreme Court has only one female judge.
"Thus, women constitute about 10.85% of the working strength of judges in the high courts," Minister of State for Law PP Chaudhary said.
