Reports say Akash proposed to Shloka at sunset in Goa. "I am truly happy that our friendship has blossomed into love. Shloka is a truly special and extremely kindhearted person," he said.
"Despite years and busy schedules, we have always found ways to stay connected. Akash is incredibly grounded. We support each other's hopes and aspirations....and lucky still to have supportive families," Shloka said.
Engagement in June, marriage later this year
The couple was joined by Akash's parents, Isha and brother Anant, along with Shloka's family for dinner.
A thrilled Nita said, "I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts."
A formal engagement ceremony has been planned in June. The marriage will take place later this year in India, reports said.
