Former national level Judo player arrested for harassment, stalking minor
27-year-old Sonu Sharma allegedly created fake social media profiles and sent obscene videos, morphed pictures, and inappropriate text messages to women.
Earlier, Sharma had tried to evade arrest.

Sharma has several gold medals to his name
Sonu Sharma secured a gold medal in Judo at the junior national level, secured two more gold medals at the school national level, and was also a one-time gold medallist in a Federation Cup at the national level.
One of Sharma's victims is a minor
Following his stint as a national level player, Sharma was working as a yoga instructor.
In April and May this year, two complaints were filed against him by a homemaker, and a 16-year-old girl from Delhi.
Investigators said that the first complaint came from a woman who had terminated his services, while the second came from her 16-year-old relative.
Both alleged online harassment.

Sharma had shaved his head to evade arrest
Investigators said that Sharma had created as many as 10 fake Facebook profiles to send sexually explicit content to myriad of women.
Once Sharma got to know about the cases, he fled the city.
The former Judo player also shaved his head to make identification difficult and avoid arrest.
However, last week, police traced his location to Bhiwani, and moved in for the arrest.
Sharma tried to run when he saw the police
Sharma was with a female friend when the police closed in.
On seeing the five member special staff sent to arrest him, Sharma broke into a run, creating havoc in Bhiwani.
He forced a Maruti Brezza to stop, went under, and refused to come out, while his female friend alleged that he was being kidnapped.
Traffic was disrupted for half an hour.
