2 AC coaches of Jammu-Delhi Duronto Express looted by men

In a shocking incident, two AC coaches of the Jammu-Delhi Duronto Express were looted by armed men in the early hours of Thursday, at the outskirts of Delhi.

The train was stationed at Badli when unidentified armed men got inside the B3 and B7 coaches and looted the passengers.

The men decamped with valuables like mobile phones, cash, and jewelry.

The incident reportedly happened at around 3:30 AM. Narrating the horror in the online complaints division of the railways, a passenger wrote, "Some 7 to 10 unidentified miscreants entered coaches B3 and B7 of the train. They were carrying sharp-edged knives with them."

The passenger wrote the thieves kept the knives on passengers' necks and asked them to hand over all the valuables.


RPF has some leads, say officials from Railways

The passenger revealed the ordeal lasted for some 10-15 minutes.

Reacting on the worrisome incident, Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railways, said the Railway Police Force has some leads in the case and they are working on it. A probe has been initiated.

Notably, last week the Delhi-Bhagalpur Express was attacked by armed men. The dacoits looted valuables worth Rs. 25 lakh.
