The day Pakistan handed over IAF wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman, troops violated ceasefire in Poonch district forcing Indian Army to retaliate effectively.
In the heavy shelling, a woman and her two kids, aged five and nine months, lost their lives. The woman's husband was also seriously injured.

Meanwhile, two J&K policemen got injured in grenade attack
Separately, two policemen got injured on Thursday after terrorists lobbed a grenade at Main Chowk of Sopore in north Kashmir. The incident took place at around 10:30 am.
Muddasir Ahmad, the Station House Officer of Dangiwacha police, was injured. His escort personnel sustained injuries too and both were rushed to a hospital.
Subsequently, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
