Wrong date on NEET admit-card leaves students confused

The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently released the admit cards for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2019 [NEET (UG)] on its official website.

However, many candidates were left confused as their admit cards mentioned wrong examination date.

Instead of the notified May 5, it mentioned April 15.

Notably, the error has now been rectified and candidates can re-download their respective admit cards.

Amid the confusion, a few candidates, who received the wrong date on their admit cards, decided to raise the issue on Twitter.

NTA, in a previously released notice, had mentioned, "In case any candidate is not able to download his/her e-Admit card, he/she may send email to neetug-nta@gov.in. Such candidates must mention 'NEET Admit Card' in the subject line."

However, the emails bounced back.

Mistake rectified by NTA, candidates can re-download correct admit card

Following that, NTA rectified the mistake and the candidates, who had the error on their admit cards, can now re-download it with the changes.

The candidates are also advised to carefully check their admit card and for any error or issues, they may contact NTA.

Along with their personal details, candidates must carefully check their roll number and center details.

In order to re-download the admit card, follow these steps:

1- Visit the official website, ntaneet.nic.in

2- Log in using the application number and date of birth

3- Click on the 'Download Admit Card' link

4- Download the admit card, once re-directed to another page

5- Take a print out.

No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall without his/her admit card.

Over 15 lakh students to appear for NEET (UG) 2019

After a candidate downloads his/her admit card, a PDF of the same will also be mailed.

NTA has received more than 15L applications for NEET (UG) this year from India and abroad.

Last year, a total of 13L students appeared in the exam.

Moreover, NTA is outsourcing exam centers this year to accommodate applicants as the exam will be conducted in paper-pen based mode.
