Terrorists steal bank cash van in Kashmir!

In a chilling incident of terrorism, terrorists associated with the Hizbul Mujahideen killed 7 people including 5 cops and 2 bank staff when they attacked a cash distribution van travelling between Kulgam and Shopian in J&K.

The van was empty, so the terrorists fled with the cops' weapons.

This is the second major terror attack in the region in just 24 hours.

On 27 April, terrorists launched an Uri-style attack on an army garrison at Panzgam village near the Line of Control, killing 3 soldiers and injuring 5 others.

On 30 April, terrorists attacked a police party with grenades killing one civilian and injuring several cops.

On 1 May, Pakistani soldiers attacked BSF posts and mutilated the bodies of 2 soldiers.

The cash van had finished distributing cash in Shopian and was heading back to Kulgam.

The terrorists laid an ambush at Pumai and began indiscriminately firing upon the van when it passed. They searched the van for cash, but when it was empty, they stole the police's weapons and left.

The Hizbul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the attack.

We will no longer exercise restraint: Cops

South Kashmir Range DIG, SP Pani said "Terrorists fired at the vehicle and killed our men. It was an organized attack and culprits will be dealt with sternly...We have so far exercised utmost restraint. But we will not take the killings of our men lightly."
