Andhra Minister's son dies in rain-related accident

The son of Andhra Pradesh municipal administration minister P Narayana passed away when his car crashed into a metro rail pillar. He was along with a friend.

22 year old P Nishit and his friend Raja Verma swerved to avoid a water filled pothole and crashed in the process.

They were taken to hospital with serious injuries and declared dead on arrival.

Who was P Nishit?

Nishit was the son of Andhra Pradesh municipal administration minister P Narayana. He was also the director of the Narayana Group of Institutions which have medical colleges and engineering colleges under them.

Heavy rains coupled with hail storms lashed Hyderabad in the early hours of 10 May plunging several areas into darkness, uprooting trees and causing trouble for power supply.

Upscale areas of Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, Yousufguda, Khairatabad, Begumpet and Secunderabad were severely affected by the rains.

Emergency teams have been dispatched across various parts of the city.
