Attacked region surrounded for search operations: Police official

The injured CRPF personnel have been admitted to the Army's 92nd Base Hospital in Srinagar.

It was the second grenade attack in two days in Tral and the third in the Kashmir Valley in three days.

Four CRPF personnel were injured in the attack in Srinagar's Saraf Kadal on 12 June.

No terrorist organization has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Infiltration bids on the rise

The Kashmir Valley has been witnessing a spike in infiltration bids reportedly with the complicity of Pakistan's security agencies. Foiling infiltration bids and managing the law-and-order situation in J&K remains a "daunting task" for the Indian security agencies, which are expecting tense days ahead.
